2 for 2 is a game developed by Crazy Labs by TabTale

The goal of this game is to make lines by connecting as many of the same numbers in order to make them disappear and earn points. The thing is that once you connect some numbers together, they add up and leave a new dot behind with a bigger number. Similar to the popular game 2048, you need to survive as long as possible by making the best score. But, be careful because the more numbers you connect, the bigger they become and the more harder it gets.

This game involve thinking and calculation. You need to be able to predict more than 1 move in advance in order to not get yourself stuck. Each game, you have 3 possibilities of “undoing” your last move by watching a video. Use that undo button wisely.

It is very simple to learn and play but the skill cap is really high. Only few will be able to make it to the top!

The new dot is always at the end

When you connect dots together, always remember that the new dot that will be created will always be at the end of you chain. Sometimes it is better to connect the dots in a different order to maximize the combos.

Here is an example:

In this example, we want to link these 5 “8” dots together. But, by swiping from top left to the middle, the new dot will be created at the end of the connection which is in the middle. By doing that, the “2” dot with a star that is above will go down but by only 1 cell. The new dot that will be created will prevent that “2” to go down and connect with the other group of “2” on the bottom left.

What you should do instead, is swipe from right to left so that the new dot will be created on the far top left of the grid. The “2” with a star will be able to fall down 2 cells and join the other “2s” on the bottom left.

This is just a simple example but remember this to make sure you make the biggest combo and don’t put unnecessary big numbers on your way.

 

 

Numbers can at up to 4 times

The reason you need to make the biggest combos is not only for the points but also to prevent you from getting too many high numbers.

When you connect dots, their end value increase.

If you link two “8” dots together, the result will be 16.
If you link three “8” dots together, the result will be 16.
If you like four “8” dots together, the result will be 32.
If you like nine “8” dots together, the result will be 32.

Why does 9 x 8 = 32 you say? Because the numbers connected together cannot be bigger than 4 times the value of that number and cannot be 3 times that number. It’s either 2 or 4 times.

Linking four “8” then five “8” will give you two “32” dots. While making a big combo of 9 instead of two small ones will only give you one “32”.

 

 

What out for the big numbers

At the beginning, you might be tempted to connect all your biggest numbers together but, watch out! You should not be in a hurry to do this! If you connect your 32s and 64s, etc, together, you will be stuck with too many high numbers that will clog your game space. These high numbers doesn’t pair well with your small 2s and 4s. Make sure you are aiming at clearing the small ones before getting to the big ones.

 

 

 

Think ahead!

Try to think ahead of only one move. If you simply connect numbers together, you won’t get really far and your game will be over because you will be stuck with many single numbers across your game. Try to predict what numbers will result from your chains. Where they will land. when you clear up numbers by doing connections, the numbers above that chain will fall. Try to make them join the other numbers of the same value.

Here is an example.

By linking these two “4” together, they will add up and leave a “8” at the end creating a connection between the two other pack of “8” that you had on each side. Leaving you with a big combo!

 

Sometimes smaller is better

Yes, doing the biggest chains gives more points and less big numbers dots. But, sometimes it is better to just do a smaller chains.

Example:

You have a “16” on the bottom and above it you have four “8”. If you link these four “8” together, you will have a 32. 32 and 16 can’t match together. You are left with two dots that you can’t use yet.

But, by doing two times a connection of two “8”, you will have two “16” that will be able to match with the other “16” that you have. Resulting in a single 32 at the end. You just saved one space!
